Rstudio keyboard shortcuts for copy & paste - Mac OS X
Hello,
I use RStudio on both Windows and Mac. On Windows, the standard Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V works for copy/paste, but on the Mac, there are no shortcuts whatsoever. Even looking at the RStudio menu under the Edit tab, the Copy/Paste commands show no shortcuts. However, I can right click and see the copy/paste in the context menu. Any ideas?
I'm using MacOSX 10.7.2
Thanks

Hello,
This should be working with Command+C and Command+V on the Mac. I just tried to reproduce the problem and everything seemed to work fine. Would you be able to check what Keyboard Layout you have?
Go to the Apple Menu
Select "System Preferences"
Select "Language & Text"
Select the "Input Sources" tab
Then can you take a screenshot of this window and upload it to this discussion.
Thanks,
Josh

Thanks for the reply. Something definitely doesn't seem right on my end. I have the US/English and Japanese input methods enabled.

The attachment below shows what I see on my side. No shortcuts attached the the cut/copy/paste menu.

Okay great! Looks like it's a problem with the keyboard layout as I am able to reproduce this behavior when switching to the Japanese input method and layout. When using the English Keyboard layout, this works fine. We've got a bug to look into this.
Also the shortcut key symbols on the Edit menu were actually never there. We have a different bug for that.
Thanks,
Josh
