Bug in OSX version - can't write an @ symbol
Unfortunately there obviously is a key-binding to alt+L which I
(and may be some other osx-users) need in order to write an @.
Hope to get this fixed soon :-)

Jakob,
What language keyboard layout do you have? Go to System Preferences | Language and Text and then select the "Input Sources" tab and tell me what is says for your keyboard language. Also what are the exact keystrokes used, just "Alt + L"?
Also can you find a picture of your keyboard layout on here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_layout
Finally can for additional diagnostic info, can you do the following:
1) Go to the following URL: http://www.quirksmode.org/js/keys.html
2) Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the keydown checkbox
3) press "Alt+L" (which is the key stroke that is supposed to work for the @ symbol)
5) Tell me the output
Thanks,
Josh

System Preferences: Tick at German
This is also the hardware layout of my keyboard.
The keys pressed are just Alt + L
I found out that with the text cursor in a function this combination collapses it like clicking the small arrow next to the line number.
The output of that website is:
keydown
keyCode is 18
charCode is 0
keydown
keyCode is 76
charCode is 0
keypress
keyCode is 64
charCode is 64
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

I may add that it is an unsolved issue since the beginning of June and so far I've noticed there are a few other posts on this behavior.
I love the work with RStudio but it would be great to get that bug(?) finally fixed.
Many thanks in advance!

Jakob and Sebastian,
Thanks for the update. We've had a lot of one-off problems come up related to different language keyboard layouts. This is the result of syncing to the tip of ACE (the editor that we use). We should have enough information here and will be looking into this.

Jakob,
Wanted to let you know that this issue should be fixed now and it will be available in the next version of RStudio (v0.97). We understand international keyboard layouts a lot better now and have changed the folding shortcut to Cmd+Option+L on the Mac. If you've like to test it out now, you can try out the latest preview:
http://www.rstudio.org/download/preview
We'd love for you to confirm that it's all good here.
Josh
