RStudio Server on Windows?

Hi,

RStudio is great! Thanks!

I have a SQL Server database on a very powerful Windows Server machine (64Bit) where I want to run R and manage it remotely via HTTP. I suppose RStudio Server would be perfect for this. Are there any plans to provide RStudio Server also for Windows? Do you recommend against trying to compile it in Windows?

   Chris,

   Thanks for the feedback and currently we do not have plans to support RStudio Server for Windows. Additionally compiling it yourself will not actually work on Windows. An alternative, although by no means ideal, is that you could simply remote into the Server and run RStudio as a desktop application.
